Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Marrakech

Your adventure begins in the vibrant city of Marrakech. Upon arrival, we will meet you at the airport and transfer you to your riad or hotel. Depending on your flight schedule, you may have free time to stroll around the famous Jemaa El Fna Square, discover local street food, and enjoy the atmosphere filled with storytellers, musicians, and traditional market stalls.

Day 2: Marrakech – High Atlas – Ait Ben Haddou – Ouarzazate – Dades Valley

After breakfast, we leave Marrakech and drive through the High Atlas Mountains, crossing the Tizi n’Tichka pass at 2,260 meters. Along the way, you’ll enjoy panoramic views of Berber villages and valleys.

Our first major stop is the UNESCO World Heritage site of Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, a stunning fortress that has been the backdrop for movies like Gladiator and Game of Thrones. After exploring the kasbah, we continue to Ouarzazate, also known as the “Hollywood of Africa,” where many international films are produced.

We then follow the Road of a Thousand Kasbahs to the lush Dades Valley, where dramatic rock formations and green landscapes await.

Day 3: From Dades Valley to Todra Gorge & Merzouga

Today we drive toward the spectacular Todra Gorge, famous for its towering cliffs reaching 300 meters. You’ll have time to walk along the gorge and take photos of this natural wonder.

In the afternoon, we continue our journey to the Merzouga Desert. Upon arrival, your camel awaits to take you across the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi at sunset. After reaching your luxury desert camp, enjoy traditional mint tea, Berber music, and a delicious dinner around the campfire. The night sky in the Sahara is filled with countless stars, making it an unforgettable experience.

Day 4: Merzouga Desert Exploration

Wake up early to witness the breathtaking sunrise over the dunes. After breakfast, we will take a 4×4 desert excursion to explore nomadic villages, fossil fields, and the black desert.

You’ll also visit Khamlia village, where locals of Malian origin will welcome you with traditional Gnawa music. The afternoon is free for sandboarding or relaxing at your riad near the dunes.

Day 5: Merzouga – Ziz Valley – Midelt – Fes

Say goodbye to the desert as we drive north through the scenic Ziz Valley, famous for its palm groves and oasis landscapes. We stop in Midelt, a mountain town known for its apple orchards, before crossing the Middle Atlas Mountains.

On the way, you may spot Barbary macaque monkeys in the cedar forests near Azrou. By evening, we arrive in Fes, Morocco’s oldest imperial city.

Day 6: Fes Guided Tour

A local guide will take you on a fascinating walking tour of Fes el-Bali, one of the world’s largest medieval medinas. Highlights include:

Spend the afternoon wandering its alleys, taking photos, and enjoying the peaceful atmosphere.
