Day 1: Marrakech ⇢ High Atlas Mountains ⇢ Merzouga Desert
Your journey begins bright and early with a pickup from your hotel or riad in Marrakech. As we head into the majestic High Atlas Mountains, we’ll take a scenic route through the Tizi n’Tichka Pass, with opportunities to stop and soak in panoramic views.
Our first major stop is at the historic Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou, a famous fortified village that has served as a backdrop for Hollywood blockbusters like Gladiator and Game of Thrones. After exploring this ancient marvel, we’ll continue toward Merzouga, with a lunch break along the way.
Upon arrival in Merzouga, your adventure takes a thrilling turn. Climb aboard a camel for a trek through the Erg Chebbi dunes, where you’ll witness a breathtaking sunset from the top of a golden dune.
